Hello from NY! We have a wonderful 'local gang" of plain old house spiders, and in my superintending and cleaning of the houses I look after here on Union Square I often 'meet' our spider pals and always wish them well! Right at the moment hubby Ric and I have had some personal setbacks. Being of Scots descent, I remember the legend of Robert The Bruce (I think it was) and the spider, spinning so steadily, which gave him courage ad strength. SO it was with me, the other day as I put my key in the door to the lobby of the house we'll soon be leaving, and on the wall I saw a spider. I greeted my little creeper, and slowly, he moved up along the wall. I said to myself, "Ah, now I am sure - our bad spell will turn around, my friend. Thank you for the omen this morning - just what we needed!" Love the site and the wonderful photos. Whenever I see a web outside, that is sprinkled with dew or moisture, I stop and marvel at it - truly one of Nature's most delightful works! And, good wishes for the holiday. Let us remember these incredible creatures. Courage to all of us who are striving to make changes in our lives, too. Best, CIndy and Ric.
All the best and thanks for sharing your story, I hope your luck and life dos imporve in 2014!! Happy New Yearglen
